In a world where we’re expected to be everything to everyone, (and as Mary Poppins would say “Practically perfect in every way”!), our tender, feminine hearts can become easily overwhelmed, competitive and misled to focus on the not so important things – instead of what’s true, worthwhile and good.
When my heart becomes troubled with such thoughts, I hear a small whisper that reminds me;
1 PETER 3:3-4
“Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewellery, or beautiful clothes. You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.”
A dear sister in Christ reminded me recently to “Let Jesus be the flower of your life – you are the stem.”
Sweet friends, I pray that as you go about your day today – radiating the grace, kindness and joy which the presence of Jesus cultivates in your life – that it’ll be HIS presence the world will see. Let Jesus be the flower 🌸
