Friends, today I’d like us to ask ourselves “What kind of entertainment are we consuming?”
We live in an R-rated world. Our gaze is easily turned towards that which is wicked, instead of that which is good, pure and worthwhile.
When we are questioning, “Should I read this book?” Or “Should I watch that movie?”, a fantastic way to figure this out is simply to ask ourselves;
“Would I read this out loud to Jesus?” Or “Would I watch this movie with Jesus next to me on my couch?”
The reality is, He IS with us. We can be fooled into thinking that it’s okay to consume sinful entertainment because “everyone else does!” or “no one knows”.
Sister, there is so much beauty to behold and there is so much goodness to fix your eyes on.

So let’s commit to turning our gaze towards those things – and a great place to start is a fantastic Christian Book (and we have a ton we can recommend!)
“And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honourable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.”
