Why? Because women who keep one another in their hearts and lift up regular prayers to the Lord on their sisters behalf – understand that our battles are won through prayer, that we are stronger when united in prayer, and that our Heavenly Father delights in answering our prayers for each other.
A simple way we can remember to pray for the women in our bookclubs is by adapting the Lord’s Prayer to include them;
Our Father in heaven,
May my sisters and I keep your name Holy,
May you use each woman in this book club to bring your kingdom here on earth,
May your will be done in every woman’s life as it is in heaven,
Please provide us with our daily needs,
Please forgive our sins Lord and help us to forgive others who have sinned against us,
Keep each woman strong so we do not yield to temptation,
Rescue us from satan’s schemes,
For yours is the kingdom, power and glory, now and forever,
Amen
