“The fruit of my challenging wholehearted season is coming to fruition. It’s blooming into a new and fresh season – a season where I deeply desire to be revived as I learn greater obedience, greater trust, and grow greater faith.”

I’ve never really been one to receive a specific word or scripture from the Lord at the beginning of the new year, instead this usually happens in preparation for a new season.
I’ve been in a ‘wholehearted’ season for a few years now. The scripture I’ve clung to for guidance and encouragement has been Jeremiah 29:13, “If you look for me wholeheartedly you will find me”. It’s my favourite Bible verse, and has brought me immense joy, peace, and hope during what’s been some really challenging times.
More recently I’ve felt a shift, and the Spirit dropped the phrase “let me be” into my heart.
In my humanness, my introverted self wanted to finish this phrase with “alone with my coffee and a good book”
Yet, after weeks of pondering and searching, He has revealed the next season’s journey is this;
Let me be made Holy…
“In your faithful love, O Lord, hear my cry; let me be revived by following your regulations.” ~ Psalms 119:149
The continuous journey of sanctification. The hope of becoming more alive in Christ and being conformed to His likeness.
The fruit of my challenging wholehearted season is coming to fruition. It’s blooming into a new and fresh season – a season where I deeply desire to be revived as I learn greater obedience, greater trust, and grow greater faith.
Despite my depravity as a broken and sinful human who desperately needs Jesus, I can rest in expectant Hope for this season, knowing He is in the business of radical and intentional transformation. I’m both nervous and excited… I am waiting on the Lord.
Create in me a clean heart,
Create in me a work of art,
Create in me a miracle,
Something real, something beautiful
