Deep in the Wisconsin woods in 1870 lives little Laura Ingalls with her sisters Mary and Carrie, parents Pa and Ma, and faithful dog Jack. Laura loves the big woods and their cozy log cabin and enjoys hearing Pa’s stories about the bears, wolves and panthers that roam in the wilderness. Laura and Mary spend their days helping Ma make cheese and butter and doing housework, while Pa hunts and farms to provide for the family. At the end of a long day, the family gathers to listen to Pa play his fiddle.
This is a story about family, everyday life and seasons.
