By Andrew Peterson
“the people of Skree were quite free, as long as they were in their homes by midnight… other than the cruel Fangs and the constant threat of death and torture, there wasn’t much to fear in Skree.”

The Igiby family dwell in a little cottage on the cliff edge above the Dark Sea in Skree, where the dreaded Fangs of Dang maliciously rule. Janner Igiby has heard terrifying stories of the venomous Fangs snatching children from their beds and carrying them away at night in their Black Carriage. He hopes he never hears the rattling and stomping of hoofbeats coming for his family.
The Fangs weren’t always in Skree but came over the Dark Sea to search for the legendary jewels of Anniera. Unbeknownst to the Igiby children, they hold the answer to the secret!
This story is about good overcoming evil, teamwork, sacrifice, betrayal and adventure.
Violence and kidnapping may cause some distress to sensitive children.
