“We see, first, that it is possible to be in the company of Jesus and not realize it (Luke 24:16). While it’s always good to seek God’s presence (Jer. 29:13), we needn’t take seasons of emotional or spiritual dryness as proof of his absence. God said he would never leave or forsake us (Duet. 31:6); the promise holds whether we “feel” him or not.”

Sweet friends, we all have days when we’ve grown weary. We are tired physically or emotionally, or both! We may have been hurt or offended by someone we expected more from. And in our sorrows and pain, we feel utterly alone. We must remember to trust our God, who promises never to leave or forsake us. When our hurting hearts lie to us – telling us no one cares, that we can’t do it anymore, or we may as well give up – we must rebuke the lies and stand firm in our joy, peace and hope; Jesus. The one friend who picks up our mess, lightens our load and encourages us ALWAYS.
Don’t trust your heart. Our hearts are wicked and sinful. Today, let’s choose to trust in the promises of our Heavenly Father.
