I joined Renee’s book club after a long period of lockdown during the COVID pandemic.
Tabitha Peterson
I was looking to connect with like minded Christian women who shared a love of reading. I have found a community that not only shares a love for books but also genuinely cares for and prays for one another.
We are able to share life’s ups and downs with each other without fear of being judged. We support each other, taking life lessons from the books we read together. Our times of discussion at book club are carefully guided by the discussion questions Renee has crafted to draw Biblical truths as well as practical application.
I have grown as a person, in my walk with the Lord and made good friends through book club.
Nay started with an invitation to other women to read books. Not just any books, but life giving, inspirational, uplifting, relationship giving and thought provoking books penned by different authors, in particular Christian authors, both men and women alike. The books thoughtfully and intricately chosen included people and characters that not only marked the pages of these books but also people and characters perhaps similar those in our own life. If you are a person who loves books, you will love this page. If you are a person who is limited to time (like me) you can trust the books carefully chosen are like treasure that have been found and left on the table for you to enjoy and, who knows, it may spark something in you that starts with an invitation to others to enjoy the treasures found within this space.

Book club has been such a blessing in my life. Having a group of women who support you and speak life into your life is a blessing I cannot recommend highly enough. Renee has a gift for bringing women together around spirit filled fiction and non-fiction books with thought provoking questions and spirit lead revelations essential for every woman. I hope women who feel led to run a book club invest their time and hearts into all Blossoming Through Books has to offer. Praise God for a resource that glorifies Him in our homes amongst friends.

I have been part of this group for almost a year and it’s been such an amazing group of like minded positive women supporting each other. The carefully selected books have all been life changing and i have expanded my genres of reading in the last year because of it.

I have never felt so comfortable with a group of women. I have struggled with relationships with women but this group have changed my life. I am never judged or put down. There is fellowship not gossip. It’s just pure honest friendships. I enjoy escaping into the work of fiction books but my favourite book would have to be Becoming Mrs Lewis. An honest story of a strong women really touched my heart.

When I first joined Nay’s book club, I was seeking connection with sisters in the Lord and to revive my passion for reading books. The first book I read was Thief of Corinth by Tessa Afshar. I was so drawn in by the adventure and portrayal of life in biblical times. Who knew there was such a thing as biblical fiction? My favourite book has been The Printed Letter Bookshop by Katherine Reay. It kind of sums up book club really – an eclectic mix of women caring for each other through God’s mysterious love in the midst of books 📚
