By Jackie Hill Perry
“The book you hold in your hands was forged through time and trial. Jackie paid to write this book. Something of her weariness leaks through its pages. None of us come to love God deeply, to see God clearly without first having an awakening to our internal depravity which can lead to a fuller appreciation of God’s holiness. Something of the richness of her treasures found hide here in plain sight.”

Book Review
What does it mean when we say God is a Holy God? Is it merely a personality trait He holds? Does His Holiness turn on and off as He pours out His wrath against sin and punishes the wicked? Does His Holiness remain intact when He pardons the sins of those who put their trust in Him? These are just a few of the important questions and deep theological concepts Jackie delves into. Jackie’s beautiful, almost storytelling writing method allows the reader to easily grasp the content she’s exploring. The message of this book is that God is absolutely – without a doubt – trustworthy, good, moral, perfect, righteous and worthy of our worship. This stems from the very essence of who He is; Holy Holy Holy.
“If God is Holy, then He can’t sin against you. If He can’t sin against you, shouldn’t that make Him the most trustworthy being there is?”
Jackie investigates the Holiness of God by looking through the lens of Israel’s journey from the Exodus through to the beauty and lovingkindness of a righteous God who sends His only Son to us as a scapegoat. Seeing Jesus means we have seen the Father. This gives us a ‘Holy Vision’, a perfect example to emulate, and under the tender care and guidance of the Holy Spirit, we too can be made holy.
“As it turns out, God being ‘holier than thou’ is actually the best news in the world, and it’s the key to trusting Him.”
